Securing strategic energy supplies: Veolia will deliver electricity to key airports in Poland in 2024

Energy supplies to airports belonging to Polish Airports (Chopin Airport in Warsaw, Warszawa – Radom and Zielona Góra – Babimost) cover the entire year 2024 and amount to a total sales volume of 66,000 MWh.

> Upper Silesian Aviation Society, owner of the Pyrzowice Airport, contracted energy for the period from April 2024 to March 2025, with a sales volume of 14 MWh.

> Lodz Airport contracted 2 MWh for the entire year 800.

Veolia Energy Contracting Poland (VECP), a company that serves as an energy sales and purchasing platform for Veolia Group companies in Poland, has won several tenders for electricity supplies to key airports in Poland in 2024. Veolia's new clients include: Warsaw Chopin Airport, Warsaw Chopin Airport Warszawa-Radom and Zielona Góra-Babimost Airport, owned by Polish Airports (Polskie Porty Lotnicze SA, PPL SA). Additionally, Veolia was also selected in a tender to supply electricity to the Upper Silesian Aviation Group, owner of Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport, as well as to Władysław Reymont Airport in Łódź.

The electricity supply contracts concluded for 2024 strengthen the position of Veolia Energy Contracting Poland as a reliable partner on the market of critical communication infrastructure and entities operating it, ensuring access to competitive energy prices. In addition to attractive commercial conditions, Veolia also guarantees an individual approach to service, including customer support in making dynamic purchases based on the futures market.

Contracts for the supply of energy to airports belonging to Polish Airports (Chopin Airport in Warsaw, Warszawa – Radom and Zielona Góra – Babimost) cover the entire year 2024 and amount to a total sales volume of 66,000 MWh. Electricity will flow to a total of 9 consumption points, powering the infrastructure for service purposes. Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA), the owner of Pyrzowice Airport, has contracted energy for the period from April 2024 to March 2025, covering one energy consumption point with a sales volume of 14,000 MWh. Łódź Airport, in turn, has contracted 2,800 MWh for the entire year 2024.
